Action Mental Health

Pain and Condition Management

About the service

The programme will help you manage your condition or pain more effectively. It will enable you to deal with pain, fatigue, anxiety and stress by giving you helpful techniques to move more, relax more easily, set goals, problem solve, breathe more effectively and improve your ability to talk about your pain to friends, family and healthcare professionals. Learning to manage your condition and/or pain will significantly improve your quality of life.

Courses are delivered by experienced, skilled and empathetic trainers, many who have personal experience of long term health conditions. The programme is currently being delivered in six weekly, 2.5 hour sessions face to face and remotely via Zoom.

There is no cost for the training – it is free to anyone over 18, in the WHSCT area, who has a long term health condition or experiencing ongoing pain and is interested in learning new skills in self-managing their condition or pain.
