Action Mental Health

Eating Disorders Support

About the service

Action Mental Health provides a range of services that aim to promote a greater understanding and awareness of eating disorders. We have adopted a recovery approach to provide help and support to people with eating disorders and also  to their friends and family.

Our key services include:

  • Preparing people for assessment & treatment
  • Stepped- down programmes: These are aimed at people being discharged by the SHSCT’s Adult Eating Disorder Team or those who aren’t being treated by the Trust but still require support at a community level.
  • 5- week health and wellbeing programmes
  • BodyTalk workshops
